Spring Program Reminders:
Schedule - Practices and Games: Official Game schedule will be published timely each spring. Practices start April 1, Games, start the last weekend of April school vacation. As we all know here in New England, everything is weather permitting, and dependent on the fields having been opened by the town.
Preseason Practices: Depending on field availability 2-3 practices per week
In Season Practices: Depending on field availability, possibly 1 practice per week.
In Season Games: We schedule a minimum of a 12 games, two per week, one during the week and one on the weekend, plus playoffs.
The spring season should end with the playoffs on Championship Day by the end of the school year, and certainly no later than the end of June.
Eligibility: RSLL spring program is a first-come, first-serve, none tryout league. That means every age eligible child, who registers timely, will make a team. However, each division is necessarily capped due to field space availability. Once a division is full, registrants will be placed on a wait-list, as will late registrants until the division(s) are closed. Wait-listed players may or may not be activated.
Commitment: This is an instructional, recreation league with no required participation minimums. However, because there are only so many roster spots, RSLL strongly encourages every player to attend every practice and every game, unavoidable conflicts aside, to help keep their team competitive. We ask every player to Have Fun, Listen to Their Coaches, Be A Good Teammate.
